Post Abortion Care

Every year hundreds of thousands of women in especially adolescents in Uganda resort to unsafe abortions which often result in serious health complications or death. Unsafe abortion is estimated to contribute to about 26% of maternal deaths and a much higher proportion of reproductive ill health. Post-abortion care can be a vital, life-saving intervention. ZACHEDO offers sensitization programs to prevent recourse of unsafe abortions in addition to offering post-abortion care services at our health facility.
